Week 95: SPLASH

Time to make a splash this week!  Summer is coming, so let's go ahead and let those summertime thoughts start materializing in our creative work!  This week's word can take you off on so many different creative paths, so don't be afraid to jump outside the box a bit and wade into deeper waters!

Before we take a look at the inspiration created for you, we'd like to welcome back STAMPlorations as our sponsor this week!  Did you know that STAMPlorations has a challenge blog which posts a monthly challenge as well as bi-weekly challenges for you to participate in?  Also, five new stamp sets were recently released, so be sure and check them out in the online store!

This week, STAMPlorations is offering the challenge winner their choice of one of the May new release stamp sets!

Now let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created to inspire you!

Guest Designer:  Yoonsun
 design defined:
A fun and colorful technique with lots of white space creates a perfect CAS card.

design defined:
Sometimes a sentiment and a "splash
" of color is all you need.

design defined:
Don't be afraid to use bold splatters in your CAS card.

design defined:
Use your card stock to create layers to add interest to a clean and simple card.

Melissa

design defined:
Try clustering your design elements together, leaving the majority of the card front blank.

design defined:
If you build a scene on a CAS card, try putting it on a smaller frame & in one corner to keep it one layer or you can do both like I did here.

design defined:
A white, shaped, popped-up layer adds interest but still feels clean!

design defined:
You can still create a detailed scene and keep you card CAS.

Jen
design defined:
Use patterned paper in small doses to keep your card CAS.

 Joyce
design defined:
Cluster your stamped elements to allow for a lot of white space.

Judy
design defined:
One popped up image can liven up a CAS card!

Now go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CDT)!
